Our Story

Brian brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the quality meats you see in store today. Being in the industry now for over 35 years Brian has an eye for quality and a passion that makes his cabinet display a work of art. He believes in old fashioned service that’s considerate and honest, to provide you with inspiration for a great meal prepared with love!

We source our beef from a group of dedicated farmers. When you buy Gippsland natural beef you are supporting a quality local product from passionate farmers across the Gippsland region. From Phillip Island, Leongatha to Warragul. We only use female free range sow pork from South Australia.

Why are we gluten free

About 5 years ago we were talking to our neighbour about her daughter Tayani who has coeliac disease. She explained how time consuming it was to always cook separate meals and that it was hard to find tasty gluten free meals that the whole family would eat.

So Brian went on a mission to source all local gluten free ingredients, finding the best tasting bread crumbs, pastry and marinades! Lots of time spent experimenting, cooking and tasting to make sure the quality and flavours were perfect.

The final result is a quality butcher providing all your favourite crumbed and marinated options to have on hand for quick dinners without compromising on taste or flavour.

Best of all we have been Accredited by Coeliac Australia so you can be assured that we have passed a stringent document review, onsite audit, our staff have been trained and we’ve even had some of our products laboratory tested for gluten. We are the first butcher in Australia to be accredited by Coeliac Australia.
